Simplified Wordnet 3.0 database

Postby KawaGeo » Fri Feb 27, 2009 11:27 pm

Hi, folks

I have simplified WordNet 3.0 database for easy app development. I have uploaded a zipped file which contains simplified database and its corresponding index file at YouSendIt. The link is at
http://rcpt.yousendit.com/658417582/262 ... 781eba765f

The uploaded file will expire on March 6th.

The format
The database contains all definitions, one definition per line. Each line has four parts delimited by a verical bar ('|'). First part is synset, second is part of speech (pos), third is gloss, and fourth is examples (sometimes just blank). The pos may be either noun (n), verb (v), adjective (a), or adverb (r). The index file contains all lemmas, one per line and each lemma contains its corresponding indexes delimited by a space. The indexes are the database offsets. Some lemmas may have more than a word, delimited by underscore ('_').

This is a second request for the database from a member of this board. Would the board owner(s) be willing to save the simplified database on their site so that others would like to have a copy of it?

Thank you.

Thankyou for your contribution Geo, I have placed the file on my site for download and provided a link back to this thread. The links are on the WordNet.Net main page.
